Jon Batiste

Why see Jon Batiste?

uneasy tour

The recipient of a breathtaking 11 2022 Grammy Award nominations and four wins, including Album of the Year, and four more noms for 2023, Jon Batiste is one incredible musician. You might recognize him from his tenure as Stephen Colbert's magnanimous bandleader or have heard his Oscar-winning score for Pixar's Soul (with Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross), or from enjoying his March 2021 record, We Are, or even with one of his genre-straddling collaborations with the likes of Stevie Wonder, Prince, Willy Nelson and more.

What we're saying is the time has come for the socially conscious, eclectic artist, pianist, singer, and composer. Catch him as he steps into the spotlight on his first ever headlining tour in 2024, titled the 'Uneasy Tour: Purifying the Airwaves for the People', in support of his newest record, World Music Live.

With such credentials, a Jon Batiste concert is not to be a simple affair, except a philosophical and intriguing adventure instead, as Batiste draws on myriad influences, including indigenous folk, pop, R&B, and many more, to present his defiant and socially conscious vision of Jazz 2.0.

Also, the drum solo by his mentor was monotonous and long, and the duet following it was not appreciated. Overall, i felt like he deliberately threw out a mostly lame performance. Still love his songs, however…came home and played all of his great works! ... Read more

One of a kind

There are just a few that can extend beyond all genres . And his sincerity and true belief in the power of mankind permeates his performance. I think I was lucky to see him in such a small venue. Reminiscent of Prince. ... Read more
